Join us for a great day of fishing on our 31ft Tiara Open, "Tackle Haack"! Our goal is for you to catch fish of course, but we also strive for a safe, fun, hands on fishing adventure for you and your group. Pentwater is one of the premier fishing ports on Lake Michigan, but also offers excellent shopping, eating, bars with entertainment, and beaches to complete your trip to our quaint little village. Our inlet is located between the famous Big and Little Points Sable and offers great fishing with short runs to the North or South of Pentwater Harbor. We are also close to deep water and can go fishing offshore fairly quick when we need to. You can expect a variety of Lake Michigan Salmonids in your catch like King Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead, and Coho Salmon. 30lb plus Kings are common these days and you could catch the fish of a lifetime so book your trip now and let’s go fishing.

No matter what your experience level, we will cater your trip to you! If you are new to the sport, we will do it all for you while you relax and then reel in your dinner stress free! If you are an experienced angler, we welcome you to join in on the work of setting lines, reeling fish, netting fish, or just sitting back drinking coffee, or a cold beverage. We want you to have fun while you try to catch your personal best!

"Being a Michigan Native, offered Me a lot of opportunities for fishing. Starting out on the east side of the State on Lake Erie fishing for Perch and Walleye out of Breast Bay with my dad, soon led to a lifelong love of fishing. After moving to St. Joseph on the shores of southern lake Michigan, I learned how to fish for Salmon and Trout on the big water and I got bit hard! That thrill soon led to my own boats and the passion was ablaze for life. I fished as often as I could to gain the knowledge and the experience that was needed for consistent catches. Anywhere, anytime, for anything! That continued through my life and career as I moved around and traveled for work and pleasure. I have enjoyed fishing in West Palm Beach, The Bahamas, Isla Mujeres, The Keys, Nova Scotia, and lots of faraway places for Marlin, Giant Blue Fin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, and many other gamefish. Finally, my life led me back home to Michigan. I am thrilled to be back in the gin clear, cold blue waters of Lake Michigan trolling for big Salmon and Trout out of Pentwater Village where "Tackle Haack" makes its home port."
